Just what is democratic learning? Jesse Fulcher from Where The Books Are,an organisation that aims to empower children through books, chatted to Shevonne Hunt about just that.

Jesse explains democratic education, based in the thinking that children are powerful and can make their own decisions when it comes to education and life. 

Jesse works mainly with primary school-aged children in enacting a democratic learning process, where children vote on what, when, and how they learn - even learning about poo!
