Dr Cath Keenan believes that every child has the right to learn the magic of storytelling.

She’s the co-founder of The Sydney Story Factory, a group that teaches children from all backgrounds how to create stories. She explains why she turned away from her own career as a arts writer and literary editor for Fairfax Media to found the non-profit group.

Families and teachers can access The Sydney Story Factory programs in both Redfern and Parramatta.

If you're outside of NSW you can read find inspiration on how to get creative with your children on the Sydney Story Factory website as well as reading through some of the gorgeous stories written by some of the kids at their workshops.
