What would you say to your “new mum” self?

Part of the Kinderling Conversation for parents. Weekdays 12pm-1pm.

Letters to a younger you can be insightful as a personal exercise, and empowering when it shows other people how things can change.

Jamila Rizvi has edited a series of letters from women to themselves, in the first six weeks of becoming a mother, and compiled them to make a gorgeous, heartfelt, funny and at times, heart wrenching book. It's called The Motherhood: Australian women share what they wish they’d known about life with a newborn.

Jamila opens up about what she wishes SHE had known before she became a mum, and how mums new and not-so-new need to take it easy on themselves.

For more about the book, head to Penguin’s website.
