If you’ve been on a parenting website recently, you’ll have noticed there’s been a fair amount of controversy around 'car swaddling', the practice of wrapping babies in a blanket before putting them in to their car seat.

Bestselling author, Tizzie Hall, sparked the online controversy after posting ‘car swaddling’ tips on her website. Ms. Hall’s advice was instantly condemned by Kidsafe Queensland. So what are the safety risks of wrapping a baby in a blanket before strapping them into a car seat?
