Dion Beasley is a 24 year-old artist with a cheeky sense of humour, who happens to be deaf. He also has muscular dystrophy which means you can find him whizzing around his home town of Tennant Creek on his mobility scooter. Johanna Bell is his collaborator,  author and podcaster and she jumped into the studio to explain how she and Dion create such thrilling and gorgeous books.

Go Home Cheeky Animals! is the second book by Dion and Johanna. The story features Dion’s signature cheeky dogs, plus camels, donkeys and a whole host of cheeky animals, and has been nominated for Book of the Year by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

You can listen to Go Home Cheeky Animals on the Kinderling Kids' Radio app. Download now!
