Baking bread can be an educational delight for kids, as they get their little mits into the gooey dough and learn all about the technical process involving yeast and proving.

Anneka Manning from Sydney's Bake Club has some great bread baking science experiments that you can do at home with the kids, it's a win/win as the end result is warm, tasty home-baked bread. Listen to her tips or get on the bread bandwagon with her easy finger buns recipe, from her book Bake Class (Murdoch Books). Photo credit: Alan Benson.
