High Five: Life Is Good by Battlebird

Each week Kinderling gives a HIGH FIVE to music, artists, albums and other stuff we think is awesome!

Battlebird is a hot new Aussie kid-dad duo dropping feel good lyrics over rockin’ guitars. Named after their Space-Chicken 2000 time machine, Battlebird is Lucky Luke (dad, Luke) and The Kid (son, Elliott aged 8) and was created as a way to break boundaries; musical AND emotional.

Musician dad, Lucky Luke, shares, “Elliott was struggling a little bit at his new school and I found it pretty heartbreaking. I had a feeling music may bring him out of his shell as it did for me when I was younger so we started goofing around in the garage writing music”.

Life Is Good is the modern and creative equivalent of building a cubby house or throwing the footy around. Together, Luke and Elliott have created an album of personal stories and feelings fused together by indie rock guitars and hip-hop attitude.

It’s father/son time gone right and for this Life is Good by Battlebird gets our High Five this week!
