Wed 26 July 2017

Matthew Martin is one of Australia’s best-loved cartoonists and illustrators. He was a regular in The Sydney Morning Herald and did 150 T-shirt designs for Mambo.

Matthew tells Barry Divola about how he dealt with crippling asthma as a kid, then finding an escape in surfing, satire, comic books, Mad Magazine and entertainers Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. He plays the tunes that soundtracked his childhood, including Duke Ellington, The Loved Ones, Cream and more.
