The world lost one of its brightest stars yesterday, with the news David Bowie had died after an 18-month battle with cancer, aged 69.
His passing sent shockwaves through the global music community, with artists and fans flooding the internet with stirring tributes (read our report). Fearless fusing music, art, fashion and film, Bowie’s colossal career spanned almost 50 years, fabulously evolving at every turn. He was a true icon, a musical hero, the ultimate rebel, Ziggy Stardust, the Starman, the Goblin King and so much more.
