Why we should teach kids there are lots of ways to be smart

Great podcasts for parents and carers

Not every child can excel at maths or reading, and a new book by author Davina Bell and illustrator Allison Colpoys celebrates all the many ways kids can be smart. It's called All the Ways to be Smart.

Davina did a lot of research before writing All the Ways to be Smart to make sure she covered many different types of intelligence. Together the magic team that brought you The Underwater Fancy-dress Parade have created a beautiful book about being different.

All the Ways to be Smart is also Kinderling's Story of the Week. You can hear it weekdays from 5pm and in the free Kinderling app.

To get your copy of All the Ways to be Smart check out your local bookstore or at the publisher Scribble Kids' Books website
