The Living Room presenters Barry Du Bois and Miguel Maestre are very good friends.

After Barry's cancer returned after several years of remission, the tradie and dad was angry, devastated and hurt. It was through the work of the staff at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse that Barry turned his heartbreak into something powerful. Together with Miguel and a team of accredited dieticians and nutritionists, they've written a book for those going through their own cancer story. The book is called Life Force: An Unforgettable Story Of Living With Cancer.

Co-written by the best of friends, it explores Barry's latest cancer diagnosis, the power of friendship, and living well – through food, family and friendship.

Plus there are great recipes for people undergoing treatment for cancer; something so important and often not considered in a strained public health care system.

Life Force: An Unforgettable Story Of Living With Cancer is available online and at all good book stores.
