It's pretty ordinary for a child to be afraid of the hairdresser. It's pretty extraordinary that your uncle would write a book to help you overcome that fear!

When Tom Paterson's nephew Gus started showing a fear of the hairdresser, Tom took his engineer's cap down, and decided to write a book to help. That's how the hilarious The Barber At The Harbour came about, with Tom's sister-in-law Amy Duncan filling the pages with gorgeous illustrations to try and help Gus with his fear of the shears.

To buy the book check out their website or listen to it here on our website or on the Kinderling app.
