All I Want for Christmas is Rain by Cori Brooke

Thu 21 November 2019

Jane lives on a farm with her family in the outback. It's dusty and dry and stricken by drought. But she comes up with a plan to ask Santa for help!

Both Cori Brooke (author) and Megan Forward (illustrator) dedicated All I Want for Christmas is Rain to Australia's farmers and it was shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia 2017 awards.

Originally from Canada, but now based in Brisbane, Cori wrote and illustrated her first children's book at age 12. She studied Law and Creative Industries at Queensland University of Technology and didn't get back to writing children's books until she was on maternity leave. Since then she has published four books for kids.

Megan is a twice CBCA shortlisted author and illustrator with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching specialising in Visual Art and English.
