Want to Play Trucks? By Ann Stott

Thu 27 September 2018

A sweet story about friendship between two boys who play in the sandpit every day together. Written by children's book designer and author, Ann Stott, this story also quietly subverts gender roles by highlighting kids simply being kids and playing with the toys they like.

Listen to Shevonne Hunt's interview with Ann Stott on Kinderling Conversation, where she talks about how the story is based on a childhood friendship between her son and another little boy.

To read along with the gorgeous illustrations by Bob Graham, get your own copy of the book at your favourite bookstore, or online at BooktopiaWant to Play Trucks? is published by Walker Books.
